2006

Gaming Generations first store opened in La Crosse, WI

2007

Begin running monthly Halo 2 gaming tournaments and start building the local competitive scene

2008

Nearly 100 players are now showing up for Halo 3 tournaments and the store is overflowing so we switch over to a larger venue. Begin running events under the name “Focus Fire.”

2009

Call of Duty starts to surpass Halo in the tournament scene. Street Fighter 4 is released and revives our passion for fighting games. Put together a Regional level SF4 tournament and high level players attend from the tri-state area.

2010

Hosted 2 large Focus Fire events at the La Crosse civic center, attracting thousands of gamers. December event takes place during one of the worst snowstorms in history. Notable players in attendance include Ninja & Justin Wong

2011

Started working with EVO, CEO, UFGT and other FGC events

2012

Begin assisting Anime conventions with their game rooms and running tournaments

2013

Fourth Gaming Generations location is opened. Open up new and advanced tech room

2014

Began making merchandise for EVO. Begin diving deeper into tech repairs (phones , tablets, consoles, accessories) and start working with local businesses and school districts.

2015

Started working at Smash events, APEX being the first. Started up Combo Breaker with TheHadou

2016

Began working with larger clients such as Pokémon, ESL &
DreamHack

2017

Gaming Generations portfolio continued to grow, worked nearly 30 events.

2018

Worked onsite at nearly 50 events

2019

Worked on site at nearly 70 events. Began working with more large companies such as AEW, Capcom and more!

2020

COVID shuts down the event world, began putting more focus in the four Gaming
Generations retail locations

2021

Stores are busier than ever! Towards the end of this year events started coming back, the first few being Riptide, LowTide & CEO!

2022

It was a rocky road for events for the first part of the year, but they started to stabilize by summer and get back to normal. Stores staying busy.

2023

Events are back in full force and our team was at nearly 60 events. Started working with even more companies such as Nintendo.

2024

TBD. The year looks to be busy!
